Life can only get better!

Very proud of my daughter and her work colleagues for doing their job, and bringing home stranded UK soldiers and civilians from Spain.

Enormously saddened by the loss (yesterday) of a close friend after a short illness.

The road is still paved with them, but getting to post is still difficult.

On the other hand, I'm looking good, the house is looking good, the family is well, and the studying is nearly over for now.

Can't be all bad!

Well, the history course is finished - started something in politics for a change, instead. I must be mad!

Coping with flu type illness is the pits too :-(

Having finished a course in history on 2 Oct, I signed up for a politics course on 8th Oct. No one mentioned it started on 10th Oct, though :-(

Getting to grips with politcal theory, some ideas about what I might like to make at lace class, decorations for the Christmas tree, and committee minutes - wow! No wonder depression is a large cloud at the back of my mind ...

Christening went well. Great neice is a lovely, happy baby.

Handed over 'Unseen Academicals' and am now favoured parent to a teenager!

Going to theatre tonight for a blast of Agatha Christie - after I make dinner.

Ooops! 

I think it's progress, anyway :-) Having to go shopping to buy new clothes, that is.

AFTER I've been out to lunch today, of course!

Well the school holidays are finally over and everyone has gone back to work/school.

Whee .. I get my life back!

But I'll miss having the family around - no excuses to avoid the housework, for a start.

Now if only I weren't too tired to enjoy myself!

I thought I would have a lot more time for LJ than turned out to be the case :-(

Where I should be writing an essay on Susannah Moodie, I've managed to sneak a few mins for something far more interesting :-)

Aiming to be more - pro-active - in future!
